Kristi Mountain Sports is the only location in the San Luis Valley that rents and sells Venomous sandboards and sand-sleds. These boards are hand made in Oregon and specifically designed for use on sand. Whether the sand is wet or dry our boards work phenomenally better than plastic sleds. When used with a specially formulated sand wax (included in rental) they slide down the dunes incredibly well. These toys are the superior sliding devices at the Great Sand Dunes National Park and are sure to make a great experience even better.
Prices
All rentals are $18/day (per sandboard or sandsled) and include a puck of sand wax
Rental Reservations
At times our entire rental fleet can be found sliding down the Dunes at the same time. To ensure you have a chance to enjoy these awesome toys we highly reccomend calling a few days beforehand to reserve rentals (719) 589-9759. Payment in full (via credit card) is due at the time of the reservation*.
Sunday Pickup/Dropoff
We are closed for business on Sundays, but that doesn't mean our eqipment isn't sliding down the Dunes. Rentals can be picked up or dropped off at the Colorado Welcome Center (610 State Ave.) in Alamosa on Sundays from 8am - 6pm. In order to facilitate a Sunday rental you must contact Kristi Mountain Sports (719) 589-9759 beforehand and complete a rental reservation.
No boards can be rented directly from the Colorado Welcome Center.
*If you wish to cancel a reservation we must be given notice more than 24-hours before the scheduled rental reservation order to refund your reservation payment.
